The Dot: the Tunis digital innovation hub that supports start-ups

In the heart of Les Berges du Lac in Tunis, The Dot has become a central venue of the Tunisian start-up ecosystem. LOXBOX benefited there from the support of its experts, one more step in the development of LinX.

Tunisia's first digital innovation hub

The Dot opened on 11 June 2021 in the Lac 1 district of Tunis. Presented as the first space dedicated to innovation and start-ups in Tunisia, it was created through the commitment of four stakeholders:

• Smart Tunisia, which led the project under the Ministry of Communication Technologies;
• Expertise France, with funding from the European Union;
• GIZ Tunisia, with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ);
• the Tunisian Development Foundation, which provided the premises and resources.

A place where the ecosystem meets

A space for exchange, sharing and coworking, The Dot brings together start-ups, tech players, digital operators and public stakeholders under one roof. GIZ's Digital Transformation Center, supported by the "Invest for Jobs" initiative, is also based there.

The hub keeps launching new programmes, such as Dot Landing, which supports Tunisian diaspora entrepreneurs who want to start or grow their business in Tunisia.

For LOXBOX, The Dot first and foremost meant support from experts: in-depth discussions about our product, our strategy and our growth, which fed the choices made for LinX. A valuable outside view for a team building software that delivery companies use every day.
