RedStart Tunisie: where the LOXBOX adventure began

Every company has a starting point. For LOXBOX, it is called RedStart Tunisie. That is where our project was supported for the first time, at the moment when an idea born in the field had to become a company.

RedStart, a creator of entrepreneurial adventures

Based in Tunis, RedStart Tunisie is an acceleration scheme created to meet the needs of start-ups and SMEs. It describes itself as a creator of entrepreneurial adventures and works with a broad network of Tunisian and international partners, including UNDP, the European Union, GIZ and AFD.

Four ways to support entrepreneurs

• RedAccélération: a tailored acceleration programme focused on fundraising, open innovation and international expansion;
• RedSpace: a fully equipped coworking space;
• RedAcademy: short training courses to build teams' skills;
• RedEvents: meetups, conferences and networking events.

RedStart also runs thematic programmes, such as Women Go Green for women entrepreneurs in the green economy, Jeun'ess for decent youth employment and CREACT4MED for cultural and creative entrepreneurship. It also brings schemes such as WIDU.africa to Tunisian entrepreneurs, a programme LOXBOX knows well, having won its first prize.

Where it all began for LOXBOX

When LOXBOX was still a delivery company driven by one ambition, making delivery more reliable with pickup points and lockers, RedStart was the first programme to support the project. That first step laid the foundations for everything that followed: the smart lockers built in Tunisia, the move to software, and then LinX.
